GO4EXPORT - TeamNL Tokyo Expo - Robotics & AI for data-driven horticulture and agriculture

Online (free) 22 June 2021, 08:30-10:30 hrs (NL time)

日本語のテキスト

On 22 June 2021 the East Netherlands Development Agency (Oost NL), will co-organize a smart agriculture webinar “Robotics & AI for data-driven horticulture and agriculture” with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Japan,  the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), Wageningen University & Research (WUR), and Foodvalley NL, and FME. This event offers participants the opportunity to visit smart agri companies online and provides a good overview of agritech innovations developed in the Netherlands.

This event is a follow-up to the successful three-day digital economy mission to Japan in February 2021, and will be organised as one of the events of "TeamNL Tokyo Expo". This is a platform for digital events to be hosted by TeamNL, Papendal, NOC*NSF and the Netherlands government for 3 months from 7 June in the run-up to the Tokyo 2020 Games.

The Netherlands and Japan share challenges and ambitions in the area of agriculture, such as making food production more sustainable, handling population aging and the increasing labor shortages. In this respect, both countries are working on innovative solutions with digitization and robotization as important themes that attract significant investments; and have a lot to offer each other.

Innovative agritech applications and R&D cooperation between Japan and the Netherlands will help to create a more sustainable agriculture. The Smart agriculture company visits will focus on greenhouse horticulture and open field farming, and will go into the technology and the concrete applications in each field. We will also inform you about the coming mission to promote innovation cooperation and trade. The platform offers lots of opportunities for participants from both countries to attend, for example: different live events, visit the Innovation Parade and find information about iconic places in the Netherlands and Japan.

Register now and you will shortly receive updates about the program.
Participation is free of charge, but pre-registration is required. We look forward to your participation.
