New York boasts the biggest public health care system in the US, top level private care centers, many world renowned research institutes and some of the best universities. Since a few years, New York City is making a transition towards digital healthcare and from sick care to more preventive healthcare. Incubator and accelerator programs for startup and scale-up companies have been introduced, as well as market mechanisms to unlock private capital. As a result, USD 2.6 billion venture capital was raised for New York based digital health care providers in 2019.
The sheer size of the New York public and private health care system could provide opportunities for Dutch companies offering HR, logistical, ICT or organizational solutions and medical supplies. R&D cooperation between companies and universities/medical centers and funding possibilities can be equally promising for Dutch (start-up and scaleup) companies, institutes and branche organizations.
But how does it work, what are opportunities for companies from The Netherlands and how can they get access? Learn all this and more in next week’s Webinar explaining the Life Sciences & Health sector in New York.
